Northern Westchester Hospital’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program Recognized with National Award for Clinical Excellence, receiving Center of Distinction Award
Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) announced today that it has received the Center of Distinction Award, which was given to the hospital’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program by Healogics, Inc., the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. NWH’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months during the 2014 calendar year, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal, and other quality outcomes. There were 506 programs eligible for the Center of Distinction award, and only 172 achieved the honor.
“This is a great achievement for our entire Wound Care team,” said Dr. Bruce Molinelli, Medical Director of the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program at Northern Westchester Hospital. “Based on patient satisfaction as well as clinical outcomes, this award is a testament to our ability to consistently provide high-quality, evidence-based care that is truly patient-centered.”
The NWH Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program, located at Chappaqua Crossing, is a member of the Healogics Network of more than 635 Centers, with access to benchmarking data and proven experience in treating more than two million chronic wounds.
