Northern Westchester Hospital Announces Newest Members of its Board of TrusteesJuly 19, 2017
Nancy Karch, Chair of the Northern Westchester Hospital Board of Trustees, is pleased to announce that Dr. Sharon Krieger, Dr. Adina Keller, and Mr. Michael Kahn have been appointed as the newest members of the hospital’s Board of Trustees.
“Northern Westchester Hospital is thrilled that Sharon, Adina, and Michael have joined our Board of Trustees. They each have unwavering commitment to both the hospital and our community,” said Ms. Karch. “The hospital continues to serve the critical needs of the community and the addition of these board members strengthens our ability to fulfill our obligation as Trustees.”
Dr. Krieger, who lives in Mount Kisco, is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Graduate of Cornell Weill Internal Medicine residency program, she was recognized among the Best Doctors in America in both 2013 and 2015. Dr. Krieger also received the Castle Connolly Top Doctor Award from 2013 to 2016, New York Magazine’s Best Doctor Award in 2015, and Westchester Magazine’s Top Doctor Award from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Krieger has been a member of CareMount Medical since 1995, where she practices general Internal Medicine. She serves on the Board of the Mental Health Association of Westchester and was a former Board and committee member of ALOFT, an organization helping residents of Westchester county age in place. Dr. Krieger feels very strongly that individuals with mental health issues and the elderly continue to be an underserved population in our community. Dr. Krieger is part of an NWH committee whose mission is to serve our community with special emphasis on the most vulnerable.
Dr. Keller, a resident of Chappaqua, is the Associate Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northern Westchester Hospital and has been in practice for over 20 years. Graduate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, she is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics there. Dr. Keller was honored as one of the Best Doctors in America, as well as with the Castle Connolly Top Doctor Award and Westchester Magazine’s Top Doctor Award, in both 2013 and 2015. This year, she received New York Magazine’s Best Doctor Award. She was the medical director of the ACS, Westchester branch and was a board member for over 7 years. She is active in ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) District 2 (New York), having served on the cervical cancer prevention task force and was section chair for her district. She has given lectures on cervical cancer and breast cancer and other gynecologic topics.
Mr. Kahn, who lives in Armonk, is a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and spends most of his time on intellectual property litigation and advisory matters. He is an experienced trial lawyer and represents clients in all areas of technology and the life sciences. In addition to his billable work, Mr. Kahn contributes his time to pro bono legal representation in asylum, Violence Against Women Act and employment equality matters. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Fordham University School of Law. Mr. Kahn is also a frequent author and presenter on emerging areas of intellectual property law.

These newly elected board members will be part of the governing body of NWH and will represent the region served by the hospital. Trustees have a strong commitment to community service and engagement, and deep interest in hospital and health-related affairs. They are ultimately responsible for the establishment of policies, fiscal and quality oversight of the hospital.
