New Fitness Program for Patients AND their CaregiversApril 11, 2017
NWH Rehabilitation at Chappaqua Crossing launches a Wellness & Exercise Program designed specifically for individuals with movement disorders AND their caregiver.
This FREE program gives patients and caregivers the opportunity to exercise together and improve their strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness.
Caregivers will improve their fitness and develop the proper strength base to care for their loved one.
Patients with Parkinson's and other movement disorders will work on their strength and conditioning.
The Program is FREE.
Registration is required.

The Program is two classes per week and runs for 12 weeks:

Peter Racioppo, Wellness Coordinator, will teach strength training, cardio and flexibility classes. Peter has expertise in exercise physiology and experience in personal training.
Physical therapists and occupational therapists will educate participants on:
- Proper transfer techniques
- Activities of daily living
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME). This topic will be taught by an exercise physiologist.
