The Hal Federman MD Health Sciences Library is a wonderful hospital resource available to all hospital staff on a 24/7 basis AND to patients, their family, and the public by appointment with the medical librarian.
About the library:
Within the library, you will find clinical information in journals, books, and bibliographic databases. There is a comprehensive collection of print reference books for quick look ups.
Electronic access is available to hospital staff upon request. Unfortunately, due to licensing of materials, we cannot offer our public remote access, but access is available onsite within the hospital to most library materials.
Our two public workstations have a variety of consumer health information bookmarked for access. Assistance with these sites is available from the Librarian. Please call ahead for an appointment.
Currently the Library is transitioning to a new webpage called LibGuides
which will offer detailed information about library resources available as well as new products and health news of interest through RSS feeds; We will also be developing individual guides on Hot Topics for use by staff and public. Check this URL and watch our progress: http://libguides.nwhc.net
The Library is located on the first floor of the Wallace Pavilion (Main Entrance)
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays (January-June)
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (June-September)
Please call ahead since days/hours could vary
