I would like to commend Grace Bueti, Wendy Coen and Vivian Townley to you. I met these women when my sister, Frances Boyles, had an appointment with Dr. Karen Arthur. We weren't making a social visit and entered the doors feeling anxious, scared and downhearted.
Mrs. Bueti and Mrs. Cohen were the first two people we met. The warmth, beautiful smiles and greetings put us at ease and I just knew that my sister was going to be taken care of. I always believed that the first person/s you meet when entering an institution sets the climate for how you will be treated. Grace and Wendy exhibited a professional manner, while still acting as caring human beings.
Mrs. Townley is another example of the beautiful caring exhibited by Grace and Wendy. We met Vivian the day of my sister's operation. She was so gentle with my sister and spoke so patiently with her while guiding her through the process, which eventually led up to the breast surgery. Vivian also took care fo me while my sister was being operated on. We laughed and she wiped my tears.
I hope that you realize what exceptional people Grace, Wendy, and Vivian are. Administrators, doctors and nurses are needed and should be respected; however, the positions that Grace, Wendy, and Vivan hold in the hospital should definitely be cherished because they set the atmosphere in a hospital. Taking care of a person's physical need is a top priority for which NWH has an excellent reputation. I am so happy that I truly found a hospital that also supports patients and their families emotionally.
