This letter is over 6 months past due but I felt it necessary to send it and have been thinking about doing so for half a year! I wanted to each out and send a special note about an amazing member of your staff at NWH. In July, my newborn son, Drew, became ill and it became necessary for us to stay for several days in the pediatric unit. During our stay from July 2 - July 5th, we were blessed to have had some truly wonderful nurses and staff. Dina, Patti, Lou Ann, and Regina from Serenity, made the stay that much more bearable with their caring.
The individual I am specifically writing this letter about is your nurse Jeanette Daniels. It was Jeanette that made our stay the best it could be. Jeanette from the first day came in with a warm smile and a gentle heart. She would offer reassurance and gentleness. I quickly began to look forward to seeing her face return to our room to check on my son, as well as to check on me! She was so attentive and wonderful with the baby and was fantastic with my 3-year-old son when he came to visit. She frequently gave my husband and I support and peace of mind during such an emotional and difficult time. She is a wonderful addition to your staff and she made us feel special, as if we were the only patients in the hospital! Such personal and dedicated care, we feel truly blessed to have had the experience we had at NWH and it was all thanks to Jeanette Daniels. I cannot say enough about her genuine dedication and caring. Thank you so much for having such a wonderful person on staff that really cares about people and about her profession.
