As an RN in the Nursery/NICU, I was called to assist in the Emergency Department during a code HICC. I was extremely impressed with the teamwork I witnessed. Our team leader provided clear, calm and concise direction. She was an excellent leader and guided us in a confident and competent style. I heard many positive comments from parents, and families were impressed by how rapidly the children were assessed, examined and discharged. I am glad the hospital is contantly striving to improve response to potentially disastrous situations. As a member of the community and as a nurse at NWH, I was very proud of the care provided to these children and their families.
