Family and friends can be good medicine for patients, and we encourage open visiting hours to enhance patient care and comfort. In fact, Northern Westchester Hospital gets a perfect score on our visiting hours policy.
You can reach out to your loved one with our Reach Out to a Patient Program. Send a message to friends and family at Northern Westchester Hospital.
It is most optimal for the patient to have no more than 2 visitors at a time. Children are permitted, but must be accompanied by an adult and not left unattended.
Monday to Friday: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday, Sunday & Holidays: 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
When a loved one is ill, it is understandable that family and friends want frequently updated reports of the patient’s condition. If at all possible, we ask families to designate one person to be the primary contact for information on the patient’s progress. In this way, the staff can provide full attention to your loved one’s care.
Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients. Also on the intensive care unit and behavioral health unit, please be aware of the specific rules concerning patient gifts.
As a visitor, you can help prevent the spread of germs by washing your hands before and after visiting. Hand santizing gels are located throughout NWH. For the safety of our patients and staff, we request that visitors with a cold, the flu, or other contagious illness or symptoms delay their visit until they are well.
To Our Community,
Please be advised that we are building a new parking garage to better serve our community. During this one-year construction project, our Visitor Parking Lot is closed and patient & visitor parking has been relocated to the North parking lot.
For the convenience of our patients, we have made some changes to registration, parking and patient pick up/drop off. Please familiarize yourself with these changes, listed below. In planning your visit to our campus, please note that our staff may request that you be dropped off or park in designated areas.
We are taking every measure to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and staff and to minimize disruption. The garage project will not impact the high quality of care our staff is providing to your family member or loved one.
