NWH offers programs and resources free of charge to local schools, clubs, and organizations. We develop special projects, education programs, information materials, and partnerships to address children’s health, wellness, and injury prevention.

Just as the NWH President’s Council meets periodically with NWH President & CEO, Joel Seligman, to help identify needs in the community, the President’s Junior Council works to promote health and wellness among teens.
The President’s Junior Council is committed to improving the health, safety and well-being of adolescents and young adults in Northern Westchester. Selected high school students serve as ambassadors between NWH and their school. Each year the group tackles an important health and wellness topic geared for teens.
Recent themes and projects developed by the President’s Junior Council:
Healthy Kids NOW (HKN) is a volunteer-based organization that was formed three years ago by the President’s Council of Northern Westchester Hospital. HKN works under the umbrella of the Hospital and its President’s Council to promote health and wellness among children throughout Northern Westchester.
In 2011 Healthy Kids NOW conducted a study of Preschool Nutrition and Physical Activity. Read their report, “Assessment of the Health Environments at Eight Suburban Preschools.”
