|Yoga Class - For Cancer Patients and their Caregivers||The practice of yoga stretches and strengthens the body, quiets the mind and opens the heart. With breath work, meditation and poses, we tap into our ability to contribute to our own health, well-being and peace of mind. All classes are provided free of charge for patients, caregivers and staff. Classes are held at 3pm in the Health and Wellness Room in the Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center. |Origami & Piano||Patients in the Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center can enjoy listening to piano while learning to do origami. Held 9:30 am - 12 pm in the Radiation Treatment Area, Ground Floor of the Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center. For more information call 914.242.8168|
|Dance Classes for Patients with Parkinson's and Other Neurological Impairments||This class fosters a safe and creative environment for participants and their friends, family and caregivers. Through an engaging approach, students learn to address specific concerns such as balance, flexibility, coordination and gait. These specialized classes stimulate the mind, body and emotions in an enjoyable setting.
This class is offered in conjunction with The Center for Creative Movement. Dancers are trained by the Mark Morris Dance Group with choreography therapeutically appropriate for this patient population.
Held at Northern Westchester Hospital at Chappaqua Crossing. 480 Bedford Road, Chappaqua, NY from 11 am - 12pm.
$15.00 per person per class; caregivers assisting patients are free.
