Seed Global Health Selected by NWH Staff
Seed Global Health and Peace Corps work together in a unique public-private collaboration: the Global Health Service Partnership. They place nurses and physicians as faculty at nursing and medical schools in Sub-Saharan Africa and work as partners with local colleagues to increase the number of clinicians and educators where they are most needed.
In addition to fundraising, clinical volunteers are needed for a one year stint to train and educate those in other countries. NWH is extending its support to help enable an NWH RN to volunteer. NWH will hold a job for any RN who is accepted into this program and takes the time off to make the one year commitment. Seed hopes to expand its need for other professionals as they grow their program.
Seed Global Health supports the training of nurses and doctors in developing countries. Seed Global Health volunteers commit one year of service collaborating with local educators to enhance education and increase the number of healthcare professionals where they are most needed.
Volunteers also provide direct medical care, strengthening the mission of education and mentorship. In this way Seed Global Health addresses the vast shortages of health professionals in many parts of the world.
Seed Global Health and the Peace Corps work in a unique public-private partnership, the Global Health Service Partnership, building on the strengths of each organization in deployment and global health education.
