NWH Doc raises money for NWH at Golf Outing
Anesthesiologists are not just treating patients in the operating room anymore, said Dr. David Miller of Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco. They are also working in the emergency room, the intensive care unit and the endoscopy and obstetrics departments.
“On any given day, we can be in as many as 18 to 20 different areas of the hospital,” said its Chief of Anesthesiology. “We’re much more mobile these days.”
As part of his job, Miller oversees a team of 17 board-certified physicians. He assigns each of them to the types of cases that require their particular area of expertise. Miller also treats patients directly.
