Genetic screening for cancer now at NWH

NWH has added a new service for patients, a dedicated genetic counselor specializing in counseling patients with cancer or at risk for cancer who may have a genetic component ot their disease.  Nancy Cohen, MS, CGC, will work with patients and their referring doctors to educate patients and guide screening and treatment plans. 

Patients face the quandary:  If I have a positive test will it just cause me worry or will it help me improve my health? Ms. Cohen answers these questions, helping each person decide if screening is right for them.
