Patient Centered Innovation Fund
Thank you for your interest in applying for a Patient-Centered Innovation (PCI) Fund Grant. We look forward to reading about your idea and to providing the resources to make it a reality for our patients, families and caregivers. The first step in the application process is to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI). Select candidates will be invited to move to the next step in the process which would be to submit a more detailed grant application.
At Northern Westchester Hospital, being innovative is something we do well, and doing it with patients in mind is something we do even better! Our patients and community expect us to lead the way —to provide the highest quality healthcare, to offer state-of-the-art technologies and to always keep our patients’ needs at the forefront. A few examples of past innovations include the first of its kind Ken Hamilton Caregivers Center, the Aranow Art Cart, the Food Is Care program and our Patient Access Tablet (PAT).
We also have several evidence-based practice (EBP) research projects to be proud of such as the post C-section abdominal binders, decreasing venipunctures through peripheral IV access, the safe use of propofol infusions in the ICU and our automated reflex order for topical lidocaine anesthetic (EMLA) before IV insertion --- to name just a few.
We deliver innovation, we champion it and we serve as a resource for those who seek to replicate what we’ve done. We want to invest in your great patient-centered idea! Please contact the NWH Foundation office at 914.242.8372 if you have any questions or need additional guidance.
Letter of Intent should be submitted to the Fund's Email: NWHPCCIF@northwell.edu
